Molly-Mae enjoys researching and collaborating on textiles projects from fashion to interiors and art direction. With an interest in historical design and an eye for the contemporary, she combines styles, hands and techniques to create one off bespoke pieces and designs for large commercial runs.

•July ‘19 - present : Freelance work with Etoile Studio, London

 

• Exhibited work at Premier Vision, Paris, Sept ‘19 and New Designers, London, June ‘19

• Epson Award commission: work to be used in shows and demos throughout 2020

Intern at The Colorfield, London, August ‘18

 

• Trend research and analysing
• Artworks and designs for a series of current trend groups which was later printed and sold within the collection

 

Intern at Owens & Kim, London, May ‘18

 

• Creating trend groups and boards for the design team
• Miscellaneous errands and admin including sorting samples, emailing, filing, ordering equipment and dealing with deliveries

 

Intern at The Collection, London, June - October ‘15

 

• Organising and completing embroidery spec sheets to send to India
• Designing a full group of embroidery designs to compliment head designer’s prints
• Carrying out small hand embroidery samples
• Working with both head designer and technician on prints from sketch to garment
